Who We Are

Countdown Comics was born from a lifelong love of the medium — the stories, the art, and the thrill of the hunt. We're a collector-run shop dedicated to bringing fellow enthusiasts access to the books they're passionate about, from new releases to rare incentive variants that rarely surface outside of conventions and direct publisher relationships.

We know what it means to open a package and find your grail book in perfect condition. That's the experience we aim to deliver every single time.

How We Source Our Books

Every book in our inventory is carefully selected. We work directly with publishers and distributors, attend conventions, and cultivate relationships that give us access to exclusive and limited-print variants — including signed editions, incentive covers, and blind bags that most shops never see.

Whether it's a 1:25 ratio variant or a 1:1000 ultra-rare, we source with intention. If it's in our store, we believe in it.

Our Grading Standards

We use three condition grades so you always know exactly what you're getting:

• Mint — Absolutely flawless. Fresh from the publisher with zero handling wear. The best of the best.
• Near Mint (NM) — Exceptional condition with only the most minimal, nearly imperceptible imperfections. The standard for serious collectors.
• Uncirculated — Unread and unhandled, but may show minor manufacturing or storage variance. Still a strong collectible grade.

We grade conservatively. If we're unsure, we grade down — not up.

Packaging & Shipping Care

Collectibles deserve to arrive the way they left us. Every order is packed with care:

• Books are individually bagged and boarded before packing
• Orders ship in premium comic mailers or boxes to prevent bending in transit
• All shipments are tracked — you'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships

We treat your books the way we'd want our own treated.

We're active in the collector community beyond just selling. You can find us on Whatnot for live sales and auctions, and on Instagram for new arrivals, pickups, and behind-the-scenes looks at what's coming to the shop.
